As our Senior Technical SEO Specialist, you will lead a comprehensive technical audit across Unity’s vast and varied digital ecosystem.</p> <p>We want you to join us to ensure that Unity remains the definitive source of truth for creators, whether they are using traditional search engines or AI-driven discovery tools. This isn't a "one-size-fits-all" audit; you will dive deep into the unique business logic of our different web platforms to identify high-impact optimizations.</p> <p>Your goal is to ensure our technical foundation is robust, our content is highly accessible to both humans and AI agents, and our most valuable assets are positioned for maximum visibility across the entire web.</p> <p><strong>What you'll be doing</strong></p> <ul> <li>Execute a comprehensive technical health audit across our global web footprint, identifying complex crawling, indexing, and rendering issues at an enterprise scale.</li> <li>Optimize for AI and LLM discoverability by ensuring our site architecture and structured data allow AI agents to accurately parse, index, and cite our technical content.</li> <li>Prioritize technical debt based on business impact, translating audit findings into a strategic roadmap that balances SEO best practices with the specific goals of different business units.</li> <li>Analyze the unique "quirks" of diverse platforms—from e-commerce environments to high-volume technical documentation—to provide tailored, high-impact recommendations.</li> <li>Partner with Engineering and Product teams to advocate for technical improvements, turning complex SEO requirements into clear, actionable development tickets.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What we're looking for</strong></p> <ul> <li>Expertise in enterprise-level technical SEO, with a track record of managing complex, multi-platform ecosystems with millions of pages.</li> <li>Deep understanding of semantic search and web architecture, including JavaScript SEO, server-side rendering, and how different crawl behaviors affect both traditional and AI-driven search engines.</li> <li>Proficiency in structured data and Schema.org, with the ability to leverage metadata to improve content clarity for search engines and LLMs alike.</li> <li>Strong analytical skills to evaluate the business value of technical fixes, ensuring we prioritize work that directly supports Unity’s bottom line.</li> <li>Exceptional communication skills, specifically the ability to explain the "why" behind technical SEO and AI visibility to stakeholders across engineering, product, and marketing.</li> </ul> <p><strong>You might also have</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with AI-search diagnostic tools or a deep curiosity for the evolution of generative search and discovery.</li> <li>A background in the developer tools or gaming industry, with an understanding of how technical audiences search for code, tutorials, and assets.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Additional information</strong></p> <ul> <li>Relocation support is not available for this position</li> <li>Work visa/immigration sponsorship is not available for this position</li> </ul> <p><strong>Benefits</strong><br>At Unity, we want our team members to thrive.
