Air Canada is taking the lead to shape a modernized cost-effective distribution ecosystem using technologies such as Routehappy and New Distribution Capability (NDC) to expand the reach and richness of its content across direct and indirect channels. The goal is to move from the legacy, passive, and rigid distribution technologies to a more flexible, dynamic, and passenger-centric distribution environment.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;">The Product Distribution and Payments team is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented, and motivated individual to join the team to enhance the NDC product. The candidate will work directly with the Manager, NDC Product, and will contribute to the delivery of the NDC distribution strategy and roadmap aiming at improving customers’ booking experience and increasing revenues. The ideal candidate is responsible for defining business requirements and assessing impacts to existing business processes and systems, and is the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the NDC end-to-end flows. The candidate must be an independent, customer-centric individual, have a passion for the travel industry, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented, and cross-functional environment.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;"><strong>Responsibilities</strong></span></p><ul><li><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;">Document new features benefits to assist in the NDC backlog prioritization and help to build and prioritize the NDC features backlog.</span></li><li><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;">Conduct discovery sessions, working closely with the NDC Implementation, Commercial, and Sales teams, to understand and define new requirements.</span></li><li><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;">Work closely with relevant workstreams to ensure that NDC solutions meet the requirements.</span></li><li><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;">Conduct gap analysis and write business requirements to enhance the NDC product.</span></li><li><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;">Collaborate with other teams to assess impacts of product changes on other systems or processes, and document them for the solution assessment.</span></li><li><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;">Responsible for documenting and maintaining process flows.</span></li><li><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;">Ensure that all required information is provided to ensure timely delivery of new features.</span></li><li><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;">Be the expert and source of knowledge for NDC flows.</span></li><li><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;">Work closely with other teams to support the implementation of solutions leveraging the offers and orders management modules and act as the NDC SMEs.</span></li><li><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;">Ensure that existing NDC solutions are aligned with the Air Canada distribution goals.</span></li><li><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;">Work closely with IT to create the new NDC features documents, release notes.</span></li><li><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;">Responsible for creating and communicating NDC product briefs.</span></li><li><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;">Communicate business Business, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.</span></li><li><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;">2+ years of experience within business analysis, product ownership and/or management.</span></li><li><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;">Good knowledge of XML is required.</span></li><li><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;">Good knowledge of NDC technology is desired.</span></li><li><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;">Experience working with Agile methodologies is a plus.</span></li><li><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;">Experience working with software development tools like JIRA and
