This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer. The mission is to provide technical expertise that assists in sustaining critical mission-related software and systems to a large government contract.</p><p><b>Responsibilities: </b></p><ul><li>The work offers flexible hours.</li><li>You will join an experienced team working on efforts to modernize an existing data tracking and metrics system.</li><li>You should be able to focus on developing highly usable end user interfaces, applying UI best practices, and UX principles.</li></ul><p><b>Key Requirements:</b></p><p>To be considered for this position you must have the following:</p><ul><li><strong><u>Possess an active or rein-statable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.</u></strong> </li><li>Professional/Education experience: Twenty (20) years of experience as a Software Engineer (SWE) supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.<br>o Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university. Note: Four (4) additional years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.</li><li>Five (5) years of experience with a strong background in user-centered design, UI best practices, usability testing, and the software development lifecycle (analysis, design, implementation, and deployment).</li><li>Demonstrate working knowledge of Linux, CSS, JavaScript, and HTML to support UI design, troubleshoot design-related issues, and collaborate with development teams.</li><li>Work closely with users (analysts) to research, develop, and document user profiles and user performance requirements.</li><li>Conduct task analysis and workflow mapping and develop and test user scenarios. </li><li>Develop UI design specifications and support documentation (e.g., wireframes, mockups, interaction behaviors, and design guidelines), as needed to support development efforts.</li><li>Collaborate with product designers and process engineers to inform application design and ensure user-centered solutions align with workflows and requirements.</li><li>Conduct accessibility and 508 compliance testing to ensure user interfaces meet regulatory and usability standards.</li><li>Collect and analyze user feedback through surveys and behavioral data to guide design improvements and UX decisions.</li><li>Work independently while collaborating effectively with small teams and larger cross-functional groups.</li><li>Create interactive prototypes to validate design concepts and communicate interactions to stakeholders and development teams.</li><li>U.S. Citizenship.</li><li>Works well independently as well as on a team. </li><li>Strong communication skills. </li></ul><p><b>Qualifications: </b></p><ul><li>UI/UX experience</li><li>508 Compliance</li></ul><p><b>Desired Skills:</b></p><ul><li>CSS, Javascript, HTML, Adobe Suite</li></ul><p><b>Location:</b> Annapolis Junction, MD</p><p><b>Salary Range:</b> The salary range for this full-time position is $200,000 to $280,000. Our salary ranges are determined by position, level, skills, professional experience, relevant education and certifications.
