ISD - Account Manager

Overview

Panasonic Canada Inc. is currently looking to hire for the position of Account Manager – Integrated Services Division (ISD).

 

The Account Manager sources, builds and maintains strategic partnerships with ISD accounts. The Account Manager will gain an understanding of account business needs and align ISD's services to meet those customer needs.   The incumbent will develop strategies for sales growth and retention within assigned brands.  Assists Group Sales Manager in managing all sales activities between ISD and assigned accounts to ensure the sales plan forecast, budgets, profit, inventory are consistent with the business plan.   The Account Manager contributes to the PCI purchase sales and inventory (PSI) process by achieving annual business plan, reaching consensus with PSI, and providing accurate and timely information, consultation and support.

 

This is a full-time position.

 

This position is hybrid. Any office-based work will be performed from our Mississauga office at Ambler Drive with occasional travel to Niagara on the Lake. Training will take place at PCI’s Niagara on the Lake office

 

This role requires travel of up to 40% with approximately 97% of travel taking place within Canada and 3% outside of Canada. Travel requirements are subject to change based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Sources and nurtures strategic partnerships with accounts to explore, define and help meet the needs of designated account customers and align with sales and business goals of Panasonic’s Integrated Services Division (ISD)
  • Achieves sales quota through the development of appropriate strategies - including sales opportunities with existing and new accounts
  • Responsible for direct follow up with account stakeholders on quotes orders and to close deals -
  • Actively updates and monitors Salesforce and SAP (or GP) and other tools to ensure targets and KPI's remain on track
  • Assists Group Sales Manager and Key Account Manager with creation of monthly PSI as well as annual business plan targets
  • Provides support to internal sales and marketing departments
  • During designated 'special projects' - provides ‘Inside Sales' support ensuring projects are completed by deadline. 
  • Provides personalized training to Inside Sales team to ensure their knowledge is aligned with brand needs
  • Researches market trends including economic and demographic trends - as well as competitor information - with follow up reporting to Management
  • Competitive and market research information is shared with management through regular calls for status reporting on customer and market trends
  • Helps expedite the resolution of account problems or issues.  Issues resolved include but are not limited to helpdesk escalations, credit issues, returns, pricing, accounting, shipping, supply chain, and/or end user complaints.
  • Participates in trade shows as required.

Qualifications

  • 3-4 years of Undergraduate College or University Degree
  • 5 to 6 years of related work experience 
  • Experience developing customized solutions by evaluating and selecting from various options.
  • Conducts in-depth analysis to support decision making
  • Builds strong rapport with internal and external stakeholders
  • Manages customer expectations, targets and time constraints effectively
  • Demonstrates excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Exhibits strong interpersonal & communication skills

 

NICE-TO-HAVES:

  • Experience in the POS market is preferred

 

WHAT YOU’LL EARN:

 

The annual wage range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 CAD.

 

In addition, the position of Account Manager is eligible for a maximum annual bonus of 25% of the base salary based on achievement of predetermined objectives.

 

This position is eligible for a bi-weekly car allowance of $254.

 

Actual compensation offered to the selected incumbent will vary depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills and experience related to the role.
