You will be responsible in translating our Brand purpose and Portfolio into immersive customer centric experiences. As a strong project and process manager you are experienced with multiple stakeholder management across hierarchies and cross-functional project work, as well as passionate and excited about strategically planning and executing internal and external, live and virtual events on a global and regional level for different audiences. This role is for someone who find pride and joy in “building from scratch”. You’ll build and develop a small team of event enthusiast who are planning and implementing global events like CES as well as regional event like BusWorld or support our People Team. The majority of these events will contribute to building Brand recognition and equity as well as lead generation for specific industries. The Experience Marketing team is core to build and strengthens the ABB E-mobility brand awareness and brand equity and to generate buyer demand by creating live experiences for proprietary, third-party and internal events. The team develops and maintain our event strategy: Bringing stakeholder and audience needs together in a global event strategy, taking regional and industry specific needs into account. It sets requirements and defines processes and KPIs to generate leads and to raise brand awareness through live and virtual events. To support the regional organizations, the team defines and maintains event guidelines (modular and scalable) and tools. The team provides executional support/resources, assets, and know-how for the regions to help them achieving their business goals. The Experience Marketing team develops and executes end-to end communication strategies to promote and follow live and virtual event activities. For this, the team works closely with other marketing and communication teams within the company. The Experience Marketing team will also develop and maintain our Experience Centers, to showcase products and solutions to partners, customers, media, analysts and selected other audiences.</p> <p><strong>Your Responsibilities</strong></p> <p>Develop and lead a high-performing events marketing team with an end-to-end live and virtual event approach<br /> Define and implement the global and regional event strategy, including event format definition, messaging, operations, activation, KPI definition and tracking<br /> Develop and execute company marketing event formats including conference and trade show appearances<br /> Plan, build and maintain live experiences (showcases) at events and in corporate showrooms<br /> Concept, develop and manage virtual and hybrid event formats<br /> Development and implementation of proprietary events<br /> Budget planning and cost controlling<br /> Agency and supplier management together with Strategic Sourcing<br /> Measurement and analysis of event metrics and reporting on insights, trends, success and ways to improve</p> <p><strong>Your background</strong></p> <p>Passionate about translating a Brand narrative and Product Portfolio into immersive live experiences<br /> Minimum of 8-10 years in the technology, automotive or telecommunication industry leading Marketing Event teams on a global and regional/local level<br /> Strong project management skills, accustomed to working to a budget and within strict timelines<br /> Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiences<br /> Comprehensive knowledge of the interaction between marketing, sales and product teams &#8211; ideally with a “history” in product development<br /> Track record of success in managing complex event projects<br /> Ability to think strategically with tactical execution and proven ability to earn the trust and respect of cross-functional teams<br /> Experienced and comfortable with working in an organization that is in a strongly dynamic transformational phase<br /> Resilient and comfortable with transformational ambiguity, as well as with leading a distributed team through change<br /> Experienced in managing and building agency relationships<br /> Highly effective communication and presentation skills and working easily with all hierarchy levels of the company<br /> Experienced in multi-stakeholder management<br /> Successful track record in hiring, managing and developing people as a team leader<br /> Experienced in building a broader unit or department as a member of a leadership team</p>
