District Sales Manager (Western, 12 Month Maternity Leave Coverage)

You will be responsible for leading and growing an established territory covering Industrial Automation customers and channel partners. Sales Execution

Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans to exceed sales targets within the assigned territory for the Industrial Automation Market.

Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities and market trends and capitalize on them to drive revenue growth.

Build and maintain a sales pipeline, with a consistent focus on new customer acquisition, opportunity creation and closure.

Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay ahead of the competition.

Customer Relationship Management

Actively engage channel partners with a focus on sales and market share growth; hold them accountable to sales targets, activity levels, and joint business development plans.

Maintain strong relationships with existing Industrial Automation key customers.

Understand customer needs, provide technical expertise, and offer solutions that align with their requirements.

Address customer concerns and issues promptly, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Sales Reporting and Forecasting

Prepare regular sales reports, including sales activity, customer feedback, and Industrial Automation market trends analysis.

Provide accurate sales forecasts and participate in the annual budgeting process.

Industry Knowledge and Product Expertise:

Stay up to date with industry trends, market developments, and emerging technologies related to Fluid and Motion Control - Key brands include ASCO, TopWorx, Tescom and AGI.

Collaborate with the IA Industry Sales team to align new product development with evolving market needs and technology demands Develop a deep understanding of Fluid and Motion Control’s product portfolio supporting Industrial Automation industries – Oil & Gas, Industrial Machinery, Life Science, etc.

Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to customers, showcasing the value proposition of Emerson's products and solutions. REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

Post Secondary Technical graduate in Engineering or College degree in Instrumentation, Controls and Automation or related field.

Minimum 3 years of relevant technical sales experience in mechanical/electrical automation or process industry Strong presentation, communication, and networking skills both in-person and virtually Must excel in relationship building, negotiation and customer service skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Teams Experience with Salesforce would be beneficial.
