<p> The Subscriptions Mission drives the growth and evolution of the Spotify business, ensuring we deliver compelling value to hundreds of millions of subscribers worldwide. We are focused on building the right set of offerings, plans, and value propositions that attract new subscribers and deepen engagement with existing ones.<br /> You'll join the Portfolio Data Science team, part of Subscriptions Product Insights. The Portfolio Focus Area is responsible for evolving and adapting Spotify's existing subscription plans to drive subscriber growth and engagement, as well as creating new revenue streams through add-ons and new value propositions. This work requires coordination across the entire Subscriptions Mission and multiple focus areas, with ownership and oversight from the Portfolio leadership team.<br /> As a Data Scientist on this team, you'll help the Portfolio team make informed decisions about how to grow and diversify Spotify's paid offerings. You'll analyze subscriber behavior, measure the impact of plan changes and new propositions, and surface insights that shape our strategy. Your work will directly influence how the Spotify experience evolves for users around the world.<br /> What You'll Do<br /> • Analyze subscriber behavior and engagement patterns to identify opportunities for plan evolution and new value propositions<br /> • Design and analyze experiments to measure the impact of changes to subscription plans and add-on offerings<br /> • Define and maintain success metrics for Portfolio initiatives, ensuring alignment across cross-functional partners<br /> • Build and maintain dashboards and reporting to monitor the health and performance of subscription plans and new revenue streams<br /> • Perform exploratory analyses that uncover growth levers and inform the Portfolio roadmap<br /> • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Design, User Research and other Data Science teams across the Subscriptions Mission<br /> • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership<br /> • Use AI-powered tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex) to accelerate analysis and workflows<br /> Who You Are<br /> • You have 3+ years of experience in data science or analytics, ideally at a consumer tech or subscription-based company<br /> • You hold a degree in Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent experience)<br /> • You are proficient in SQL and Python and comfortable working with large-scale datasets<br /> • You have experience designing and analyzing A/B tests, with a solid understanding of statistical methods<br /> • You are a clear communicator who can translate complex analyses into actionable recommendations<br /> • You are curious, proactive, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-moving business<br /> • You enjoy collaborating across teams and are comfortable working in environments that require coordination across multiple stakeholders and workstreams<br /> Where You'll Be<br /> • This role is based in New York, Stockholm or London.<br /> • We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home.<br /> The United States base range for this position is 94,585 - $135,121, plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, paid flexible holidays, paid sick leave.
