Have you successfully worked with Project Managers and Construction Managers on ensuring infrastructure meets provincial and municipal code? Parsons is currently seeking a Senior Construction Inspector to work with our Senior Project Team on large scale Infrastructure projects such as road-widening, bridge remediation and the development of underground infrastructure. The successful candidate will conduct daily inspections to determine contract adherence and conformance with contract specifications. She/he will be responsible for bridge and road inspection on existing projects. <strong>Additional responsibilities include: <br><br></strong><ul><li>Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and environmental regulations. </li><li>Maintaining detailed diaries and photographs to document daily construction activities.</li><li>Conduct inspection as per applicable inspection requirements, such as MTO’s Construction Administration and Inspection Specifications.</li><li>Coordination of onsite sub-consultants and quality assurance material testing.</li><li>Reporting of installed quantities to verify applications for monthly payment and change order work.</li><li>Maintains office files related to the project, quantity calculations, and other documentation as required by the construction contract.<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>A Combination Of The Following Education Experience Is Required<br><br></strong><ul><li>Degree or Diploma in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, and/or combination of related experience</li><li>PEO registered, or OACETT registered Road Construction Senior Inspector (rcsi)</li><li>5+ years of experience in construction inspection with MTO or municipal transportation projects</li><li>Knowledge of the requirements of MTO’s Construction Administration and Inspection Specifications (CAIS)</li><li>Knowledge of applicable design standards, OPS specifications, standard drawings, and quality control / quality assurance material testing methods.</li><li>Effective organizational and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Ability to utilize computer software such as MS Word and Excel</li><li>Must provide own transportation to and from job site.</li><li>Valid Class “G” driver’s license</li><li>Ability to lift 25 kg</li><li>Ability and willingness to work nights and weekends if required<br><br><br></li></ul>This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.<br><br>For more than 80 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
