If you’re interested in joining a dynamic, culture-driving company—where learning invaluable skills is all in a day’s work—we invite you to apply.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Snapshot of the Role:</strong></p> <p>We are seeking a Communications Manager (TEMP) who will own the execution of class launches, press operations, and internal communications across a fast-moving, cross-functional environment. <strong>This is a 5-month assignment and hourly role ($70–$74/hr) for a hands-on operator who thrives in the details while keeping the bigger picture in view.</strong></p> <p>If you're someone who brings structure to ambiguity, communicates with clarity and confidence, and takes pride in running tight, high-quality programs, this role offers the opportunity to shape how MasterClass tells its story at scale.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>What You Will Do: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Own the communications workflow for all class launches in partnership with our external agency: creative ideation, press strategy, drafting press materials, supporting instructor calls, and coordinating instructor interviews to secure earned media coverage across traditional press, podcasts, creator platforms, and newsletters/Substacks</li> <li>Support the company's thought leadership efforts: secure speaking engagements and media placements including features, interviews, and podcast appearances</li> <li>Drive ongoing proactive press outreach: holiday gift guides, promotional campaigns, and real-time trendjacking to insert MasterClass offerings into timely conversations</li> <li>Leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) to drive efficiency: drafting press materials, generating first-pass content, and streamlining</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>About You (Requirements):</strong></p> <ul> <li>Proven experience in communications/PR with demonstrated results securing earned media coverage</li> <li>Strong operator with a track record of building reliable, repeatable processes in fast-paced environments</li> <li>Proficient in using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) to accelerate content creation, research, and communications workflows</li> <li>Exceptional writer with experience drafting press releases, internal communications, and executive-facing materials</li> <li>Confident cross-functional collaborator who can work effectively with legal, marketing, creative, and instructor teams</li> <li>Highly organized with sharp attention to detail and strong judgment on how to prioritize across competing deadlines</li> <li>Comfortable owning Slack channels, project management tools (e.g., Asana), and asset management platforms</li> </ul> <p><strong>This is a 5-month assignment and hourly role ($70–$74/hr)</strong></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>At MasterClass, we believe we put our best work forward when our employees bring together ideas that are diverse in thought.
